Biosketch
Dr. English earned a BS in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University, an MA in Education from the University of Kentucky with a Certificate in Gerontology from the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, and a DPT from Simmons in Boston, Massachusetts.
She has a strong clinical background including practice in acute care, rural community hospital, outpatient clinics, school systems, nursing homes, and home health. Teaching responsibilities include Medical and Physical Therapy Management of Adult Neurological Problems, classes in preparation for clinical clerkships, and internships and an elective in Service Learning.
She teaches adult neurological rehabilitation, care of underserved populations, and clinical education.
She has coordinated service efforts with UK Shoulder to Shoulder Global in Santo Domingo, Ecuador, since 2008, and coordinates Samaritan’s Touch UK Student Physical Therapy Clinic.
