Needs Statement
The COVID-19 pandemic led to the increased use of telehealth to provide patient care. In addition, social isolation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the mental health of many individuals, especially the elderly. This module will explore the role of telehealth in the management of COVID-19 and mental health and how social isolation has affected mental health in the elderly.Target Audience

After completing this module, the participant will be able to:- Discuss the role of telehealth in the management of COVID-19.
- Explore the role of telehealth in reducing the mental health burden of COVID-19.
- Describe the impact of social isolation on the elderly and review recommendations to avoid mental and functional decline.
