Needs Statement
This set of training modules is intended for school personnel training (nurses and designated, non-licensed staff) who will provide diabetes-related care and medication administration to students with diabetes in a school setting. Speakers include diabetes educators, nurses, and care providers with expertise in the field of pediatric diabetes from UKHC Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, Wendy Novak Diabetes Institute (Louisville), and Cincinnati Children's Diabetes Center.Module 4 addresses various diabetes-related technology, including the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) therapy.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:- Review basics of basal-bolus insulin therapy and blood glucose monitoring.

- Provide considerations for use in a school setting
