The majority of children have experienced at least one traumatic event by age 16. Adolescents who are experiencing traumatic stress need supportive environments and instruction. This module will illustrate how to create an environment where a student who is experiencing traumatic stress can feel safe and learn.Target Audience
The target audience for this course includes teachers and other school-based personnel.Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:- Identify signs of traumatic stress.
- Identify trauma-responsive instructional and classroom management strategies.
