Peer support specialist (PSS) and care navigation services, especially in SUD treatment, is a novel growing field and it is important for these individuals to understand their profession role and responsibilities as well as how to set healthy boundaries.Target Audience
Peer Support specialists, Care Navigators, Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Social Workers Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:- Describe the steps to work through when there is a possible boundary violation
- Explain the terms justice, autonomy, dual roles/relationships, gossip and why knowing these terms can be helpful in working through boundary issues
- Practice setting healthy boundaries with clients
