Lung Cancer Screening Program Resource Library

The purpose of this Resource Library is to provide participating sites with LC Screening program resources that may be useful in the planning, development, operations and management of LC screening programs. We have developed this Resource Library, which is a collection of templates, presentations, and tools for clinics to adapt based on their specific needs and interests. Included are resources for programs that are in the earliest stages of development as well as well-established, high capacity programs. Resources are organized based on the “status” of screening; however, please browse each section regardless of the “status” of screening at your institution. You may find useful resources to consider. If you have resources that you have developed and are willing to share with others on this study resource portal, please contact: joseph.alexander@uky.edu. or melinda.dowden-kruger@uky.edu

The contents of this Resource Library align with the educational content of the nine Study Training Modules and may function as a working guide for members of the lung cancer screening program team. Participating sites are encouraged to access and implement materials from the Resource Library.

The Resource Library is organized into four sections:

1. Development & Planning : a collection of resources for planning and development, including business planning templates and resources, program readiness assessment, power-point presentation templates, including importance to Kentucky populations.
2. Program Management : a collection of resources for management of LC Screening, including key manuscripts, emerging evidence-based data and recommendations, NCCN Guidelines, CMS Decision Letter, USPSTF Final Recommendation, Crosswalk – USPSTF and CMS, Reimbursement, Treating Tobacco Addiction.
3. Operational Resources : a repository of operations instruments, including intake templates, sample workflows, scan report templates, shared decision aids, participant and referring PCP letter templates, marketing, resource grids, reimbursement, and other operational level resources.
4. Patient Education Materials : a collection of patient education and awareness materials, including items for prospective participants and retention of participants.
