The increasing incidence of stroke, along with the national shortage of cerebrovascular providers and staff, collectively contribute to the importance of enhancing the overall knowledge base in our region. It is essential to address practice gaps regarding stroke care with the goal of strengthening our system of care.
The “Summit” contributes to the Stroke Care Network’s mission to improve quality of care, preventive medicine, education and research in stroke and related diseases throughout our region. This educational activity is designed to gather experts in the field to summarize evidence-based standards of care, and to collaboratively streamline processes related to assessment and management of stroke patients.
