Prescribing Buprenorphine in Primary Care

Primary care currently represents fewer than 1 in 5 providers offering medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). This educational activity presents how one primary care doctor tackles some of the most common fears, myths and perceived barriers to prescribing buprenorphine in the busy office setting.

You will receive 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for watching all of the videos and completing the surveys. This is to be provided as follows: after completing the initial video and either of the videos in Step 2, you will answer required questions for CE Central accreditation, and complete an attestation response to gain 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Choose the video titled “Step 2a.practice-level concerns” if you would like to learn more about concerns and advantages for tackling clinic integration of care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder; choose the video titled “Step 2b. Individual-level concerns” to learn more about professional or individual concerns and advantages for integration of care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder.

You may also participate in both steps! Should you choose to complete both the additional videos in Step 2, you will again answer required questions for CE Central accreditation, and complete an attestation response to be offered an additional .25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
