Biosketch
Dr. Talbert earned BS, MA, and PhD degrees from Texas A&M University.
His research is focused at the intersection of evidence-based policy and health care outcomes, with most work on public health informatics and substance use disorder outcomes. He is currently working on an NIH study of prescription drug misuse to identify doctor shoppers from large health care data, an NIH study to develop a Medicaid Distributed Research Network focused on opioid use disorder, and he serves as the Co-Director of the Data Analytics Core for the Kentucky HEALing communities project.
