Linda holds a master's degree in nursing leadership from Benedictine University. She has worked for UK HealthCare since 1996. After graduating nursing school in 1998, she worked at the Birthing Center and discovered her interest in High-Risk Obstetrics. In 2013, Linda left the bedside to work at Polk Dalton Clinic as a nurse navigator for the Department of OBGYN and had the opportunity to collaborate with the Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the College of Nursing, and Addiction Medicine to develop the PATHways (Perinatal Assisted Treatment Home) Program for pregnant women with substance use disorder. She continues to work as the nurse coordinator for the program. In September of 2023, funding was provided by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to form the Kentucky Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Task Force (KyMMM). Linda left her role at Polk Dalton Clinic to serve as the OB Task Force Facilitator in a joint effort with other invested stakeholders in the state to make a concerted effort to reduce maternal mortalities and near misses in prenatal and post-delivery care. It is her passion for Kentucky to be a safe and equitable place for all birthing people.
