Biosketch
Dr. Tzeng is a surgical oncologist with specialized clinical training and a proven research focus on hepato-pancreato-biliary cancer surgical outcomes. In addition to over 30 peer reviewed manuscripts on cancer research, he has delivered over 20 national and international oral presentations. He was awarded the respective top national research award from the AHPBA for 2012 and the SSAT, SSO and Pancreas Club for 2013. He received his MD from and served his residency with the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed a fellowship in surgical oncology research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as fellowships in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. His clinical interests include biliary, colorectal, gastrointestinal, liver, neuroendocrine, and pancreatic cancers as well as surgical oncology. Dr. Tzeng is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
