Biosketch
Dr. Maskey earned an MD from Chittagong Medical College in Bangladesh. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonology and Critical Care at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Maskey completed an additional year of training in Interventional Pulmonology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School in Boston.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care, the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and the American Association for Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology.
Dr. Maskey uses minimally invasive techniques such as endobronchial ultrasound and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy to aid in the diagnosis of lung nodules and staging of lung cancer. He also performs rigid bronchoscopy, laser, electrocautery, argon, and cryotherapy for airway narrowing/obstruction. He manages pleural diseases and performs Denver drains, pleurodesis, and medical thoracoscopy. He also manages tracheotomy tubes.
Dr. Maskey works closely with a team of oncologists, radiation oncologists, and thoracic surgeons.
