Marion Hofmann-Bowman, MD, PhD

Marion Hofmann-Bowman, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist and known expert on vascular disease. An accomplished scientist, Dr. Hofmann’s laboratory investigates the molecular basis of blood vessel diseases. Through this research, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other foundations, she hopes to define new treatment targets for atherosclerotic heart disease and aortic aneurysms. Her research focuses on aortic valve disease (bicuspid and calcific) and on thoracic aneurysms. She has written many articles on these subjects.
