Biosketch
Richard Andrew Goldman, MD, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He went on to the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill where he completed his medical degree. He completed his internship in Otolaryngology at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. His residency was completed in the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center as well. Dr. Goldman furthered his education by completing a fellowship in Advanced Oncologic Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Following his fellowship he took a faculty position as a clinical instructor with the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Goldman was recruited to the University of Kentucky Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in 2014. He now holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Clinical Title Series.
Dr. Goldman’s specialized interests are in oncologic head and neck surgery.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and along with the University of Kentucky he holds appointments with the VA Medical Center, Federal Medical Center, and Rockcastle Medical Center and is a member of many professional societies.
