Lindi was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and master’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Communications. On December 6, 2017, she had 2 two lobes of her right lung removed when exploratory surgery revealed a nodule in her lung was cancer. A wedge resection and biomarker testing of a new nodule in her left lung in May 2020 was positive for the EGFR exon 19 mutation. After completing 3 years of targeted treatment, Lindi receives regular scans at Markey Cancer Center to monitor for any signs of a recurrence.
In addition to her role as Founder & President of Breath of Hope Kentucky, Lindi co-founded the Young Lung Cancer Initiative with two fellow lung cancer advocates in January 2024. She works diligently in these roles and independently serves as a patient advocate, public speaker, and patient advisory board member.
