Biosketch
Sharon Robertson, MD, MPH is a Gynecologic Oncologist at Indiana University’s Simon Cancer Center. Dr. Robertson graduated from Emory University where she received her medical doctorate and her masters of public health. She finished her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, OR in June 2013. Dr. Robertson has completed two fellowships, first a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Legacy Health in Portland. Followed by a 2nd fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Robertson sees and treats patients with all gynecologic cancers including ovarian, uterine, cervical and vulvar/vaginal cancers as well as pre-cancers. She performs surgeries using all available approaches including traditional and single site laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Dr. Robertson also performs surgery using heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Her current areas of research interest are HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention and she speaks on behalf of HPV vaccination around the state. Dr. Robertson is originally from Evansville, IN and is glad to be back home to care for the women of Indiana.
