Biosketch
Nick Kimberlain is a person in long-term recovery from both Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and works as a Peer Support Specialist in the University of Kentucky Psychiatry Department. He was formerly employed with Voices of Hope, a non-profit Recovery Community Center in Lexington, KY. He has been doing Peer Support for approximately 2 years now. He also started what is now the only in-person MARA (Medication Assisted Recovery Anonymous) meeting in Kentucky. Every day he wakes and gets to work his dream job. He works not only with patients just like himself but also with some of the most professional, intelligent, influential people he has ever met.
