In addition to his role within the neonatal ECMO program, Dr. Severyn is passionate about medical education and is very active with both undergraduate and medical students as well as residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows. He has mentored multiple trainees on a variety of ECMO related projects which have been presented at both local and national conferences and continues to be an integral part of ECMO education and simulation within Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
