Dr Kasberg graduated with his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Raabe RayBee College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University in 2020 He then completed a Postgraduate Year One PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pain Management and Palliative Care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland In 2022 he joined the UK HealthCare Acute Pain Service and Palliative Medicine Service as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist where he manages a variety of pain syndromes for inpatients His interests include postoperative pain management multimodal pain management pain management in the setting of opioid use disorder acute on chronic pain in the opioid tolerant patient and effectively tapering opioids In 2023 he was recognized by UK HealthCare during National Pharmacy Week for his outstanding work and dedication to patient care and he recently coauthored Cancer Pain Management in Patients with Opioid Use Disorder in Current Addiction Reports April 2024
