Biosketch
Erin Chalmers has been a PA for over 15 years and has worked in PA Education since 2014. She works as a Physician Assistant at Future Hope Pediatrics. She has practiced clinically in the fields of geriatrics, pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, family medicine, and urgent care. During her time working in family medicine, she participated in the care of patients with SUD. Erin’s interest in integrative medicine began during PA school and has developed since working at Future Hope. Her medical interests lie in participating in the growth and development of healthy children and practicing holistic, root-cause medicine.
Erin is and advocate for Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistant Education Association, and the Academy of Doctoral Physician Assistants. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants and serves as the President-Elect and Treasurer. She also serves as a Director-at-Large and Membership Committee Chair for the Academy of Doctoral Physicians.
She is the Director of Didactic Education, Associate Professor, and Fellowship Coordinator at the Sullivan University Physician Assistant Program. She holds her Doctor of Medical Science with a focus on PA Education. She is involved in curriculum development, admissions, professionalism development, and remediation. Her teaching philosophy embraces humanizing medicine; she loves to be involved in the growth and development of learners from students to providers.
