Mary K. Anderson, BSN, RN, OCN®

Mary Anderson is the Sr. Manager of Nursing Initiatives at NCODA, a multidisciplinary professional oncology organization dedicated to providing tools and educational resources for all members of the oncology care team. She graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in 1988 and has since dedicated 36 years to the field of oncology nursing.
Throughout her career, Mary has served in various roles including inpatient Pediatric Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and outpatient Medical Oncology. For 10 years, she served as the first Oral Oncolytic Nurse Navigator at Norton Cancer Institute in Louisville, KY, where she was instrumental in developing patient education platforms, documentation flowsheets, and proactive interdisciplinary workflows. Mary has authored chapters for the Oncology Nursing Society’s Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice, including the chapter on Oral Adherence.
