Biosketch
Dr. Rao completed his MD and PhD at the Medical University of South Carolina, Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center, followed by a Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He is the Director of the CardioOncology, Heart Failure, and Anticoagulation clinics at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. He serves as Chair of the IC-OS Center of Excellence Committee and is an active member of the IC-OS education committee. The Franciscan CardioOncology program won the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) national Innovator Award in 2019 and was selected as an IC-OS Center of Excellence: Gold Status in 2022. He was also the lead author on a JACC: State of the Art Review on Cardiovascular Toxicity of Oral Antineoplastic Agents in 2021 and is the Governor-Elect of the Indiana Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
