Biosketch
Dr. Jensen received his JD (Juris Doctor) degree from the Harvard Law School at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Thereafter, he was an active trial lawyer and managing partner of several law firms in Salt Lake City, UT.
Dr. Jensen then undertook premedical training at the University of Utah, Bryn Mawr College and Villanova University. Thereafter, Dr Jensen was accepted for medical training at the University of California San Franciso (UCSF) in San Francisco, CA.
After receipt of his MD at UCSF, Dr. Jensen completed an Internal Medicine internship at the University of Virginia followed by a Preventive & Occupational Medicine and Public Health residency at the University of Kentucky (UK) and at the US Department of Health and Human Services (US-DHHS) in Rockville, MD.
After service as a Medical Executive Director and Primary Care Physician with the Florida Department of Health, Dr. Jensen returned to UK and completed a Neurology Residency and Chief Residency.
Immediately thereafter he was selected for a Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship with Dr. Jonathan D. Trobe at the Kellogg Eye Center of University of Michigan Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science in Ann Arbor, MI.
To master ocular motility, Dr. Jensen then completed a Neuro-Otology & Ocular Motility Fellowship with Dr. Terry D. Fife at Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) and St. Joseph Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Jensen was appointed Assistant Professor of Neuro-Ophthalmology at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Then he was advanced to Associate Professor of Neuro-Ophthalmology and Neuro-Otology as well as Director of Neuroscience Education at Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock, TX.
Dr. Jensen then joined the Senior Faculty of the University of Kansas (KU) and he managed consolidated neuroscience education, neuro-otology and neuro-ophthalmology at KUMC Wichita.
Finally, Dr. Jensen served as Vice-Chairman of Neurology at the University of Missouri Kanas City (UMKC) and at University Hospital and Truman Medical Center in Kanas City, MO.
Dr. Jensen’s primary interests center on visual and vestibular disorders of the central nervous system, epilepsy, neuro-immunological and neuro-infectious diseases. His focus is on careful evaluation and effective communication.
