Biosketch
Caroline M. Barnes, MPH, CHES, CPH, BS, BA, recently completed her MPH at the University of Tennessee, with experience in rural health, food access, and community-engaged research. She works with the CDC-funded High Obesity Program, Be More Tennessee, where she conducts assessments, develops materials, and collaborates with local leaders to address food insecurity in rural communities. Caroline was selected to be a part of the University of Tennessee’s Community Engagement Academy, where she further explored crafting culturally responsive interventions that foster trust and sustainability. She often writes and presents information about food access, actively integrating community voices into public health initiatives while promoting equity and sustainability.
