Biosketch
Paula Bailey, MD has been named Chief Medical Officer of Medical Affairs. Her extensive experience across service lines, meticulous attention to clinical detail and passion for physician development makes her the ideal selection for this important role.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine/pediatric residency and master’s degree in health administration at the University of Kentucky.
Within the health system, she has served as the medical director for Patient Experience and was also acting chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine.
She has worked in the Office of Medical Staff Affairs and was involved in provider credentialing and peer review, including refining UK HealthCare’s peer review process.
