Steven D. Johnson, PhD, LCSW

Steven Johnson is an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UK with a joint appointment in the College of Social Work. He did his undergraduate work at Tennessee Tech University, where he earned a BS in technical communications. He earned his masters and doctorate in Social Work from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Johnson is the Director of Psychotherapy and Psychological Services in the Department of Psychiatry. Besides seeing patients for mental health and substance abuse issues, he teaches residents and graduate students in mental health and psychotherapy techniques. He is also the coordinator of mental health services for the Bluegrass Care Clinic at UK.
