Biosketch
Dr. Rose is an assistant professor in the College of Medicine, Department of General Internal Medicine, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and a received her Diplomate in Obesity Medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2014. After completing her residency in Internal Medicine, she completed a General Medicine fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital as well as a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Rose’s work in obesity includes a running a weight management program at UK which focuses primarily on individualized lifestyle and behavioral management as well as dietitian support. Over the past two years Dr. Rose has been working with subspecialists to focus on improving outcomes in patients with diseases related to obesity. Dr. Rose focuses her clinical research on obesity care in the primary care setting and maintains a database of her weight management patients in order to study their outcomes.
