Biosketch
Dr. M. Susan Jones, PhD, RN, is a Professor Emerita in the School of Nursing and Allied Health at Western Kentucky University (WKU). She earned her BSN from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, MSN from Vanderbilt University, and a PhD from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Jones holds certification as a nursing educator (CNE) and is a fellow in the National League for Nursing-Academy of Nursing Education. She also completed a 30-hour certification program in Agri Medicine in 2014. Her farming heritage and the current involvement of her family in production agriculture provide an inside view into the culture and challenges that confront farmers and their family members. The focus of her research and practice is health promotion of rural populations including agricultural workers and their families.
