Biosketch
Dr. Kuperstein earned a BS in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York-Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and completed graduate work in Human Genetics at the Medical College of Virginia. She earned an MSEd in Clinical and College Teaching with an emphasis in Health Care Administration and a PhD in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky. She also serves as the Administrative Liaison to the Center for Rural Health Academic Program.
Her research/scholarship focuses on Health Care Delivery Systems,
Interprofessional education, Faith-based Initiatives, Ethics, and Education.
Her education focuses on Doctor of Physical Therapy, Introduction to Physical Therapy and Bioethics, Introduction to Administration, Advanced Physical Therapy Management, Interprofessional Education, Ethics, Patient Centered Medicine, and Family Medicine Clerkship.
Dr. Kuperstein has experience as a PT in a variety of clinical environments including pediatrics, hospice, and acute care. She also served in several health care administrative positions including as Chief Operating Officer of an acute care hospital.
She is active in the profession as Chair of the Publications Committee for the APTA Section on Health Policy and Administration and Editor of the HPA Resource and Physical Therapy Journal of Policy, Administration, and Leadership. She also serves as the KPTA Liaison to the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy and as a volunteer for several community agencies.
